Ukrainian PM: We Plan to Reduce Ferry Transportation Tariffs Up to 60%

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman spoke about the importance of Georgia-Ukraine cooperation at the Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi.

“We are happy for Georgia’s success and I am confident that your leadership in the region will contribute to our economic development,” the Ukrainian Prime Minister said.

Volodymyr Groysman¬† talked about the importance of Tbilisi Silk Road Forum and noted that this is a step to encourage improvement of ties between Europe and Asia. Ukraine’s Prime Minister talked about ferry transportation in the Black Sea region: “We plan to reduce the tariffs of ferry transportation up to 60%. Our goal is to make this area competitive.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine also emphasized on the development of a corridor between East and West: “There are serious directions between Asia and Europe and the Baltic states. In terms of these corridors, Ukraine can be a reliable partner. Mr. Kvirikashvili said we can create an association: Georgia-Azerbaijan-Ukraine, using railway and ferry services. “
