Ukrainian PM: We Plan to Reduce Ferry Transportation Tariffs Up to 60%

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman spoke about the importance of Georgia-Ukraine cooperation at the Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi.

“We are happy for Georgia’s success and I am confident that your leadership in the region will contribute to our economic development,” the Ukrainian Prime Minister said.

Volodymyr Groysman  talked about the importance of Tbilisi Silk Road Forum and noted that this is a step to encourage improvement of ties between Europe and Asia. Ukraine’s Prime Minister talked about ferry transportation in the Black Sea region: “We plan to reduce the tariffs of ferry transportation up to 60%. Our goal is to make this area competitive.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine also emphasized on the development of a corridor between East and West: “There are serious directions between Asia and Europe and the Baltic states. In terms of these corridors, Ukraine can be a reliable partner. Mr. Kvirikashvili said we can create an association: Georgia-Azerbaijan-Ukraine, using railway and ferry services. “
