According to “Research Centre of Transport Corridor”, cargo flow might be grown in Georgia.

“Special, i.e. preferential tariffs are imposed on 28 types of cargo through the last 3 months. It might have an impact on cargo flow growth in the nearest future”, – Tsagareishvili notes.

It should be noted, that as of 6 months, “Georgian Railway” has served 5,7 million t cargo, which is less by 1,6 million t comparing to 6 months’ data of 2015. The sharpest drop is fixed (1,45 million) in the transit cargo.

Cargo increase is already noted from Ukraine, Bulgaria and Romania in August-September, but there are not enough ferry-boats.
