The Export of the Wine Has Increased with 35% – 5 Countries in The World Where Most of Georgian Wine is Sold.

Considering the situation in January-September 2016, there has been 32 421 418 bottles of wine exported to 50 countries, which is 35% more comparing to the data from last year. In this period, the cost of wine that has been exported is 74, 6 million USD, which is 12% more than the same statistics last year.

According to the national agency of wine, the rise of export was noticeable not only in the EU but in China and other common markets.

  • The USA- 5% (191 086),
  • Latvia-  1% (841 098) and etc.

Top five countries for wine export are: Russia (17056936), China (3852245), Ukraine (3457028), Kazakhstan (2535163) and Poland (1633514).

In addition, 6 016 653 bottle of brandy has been exported to 16 countries, which is 34% more than the same index in 2015. The whole amount of export is 13, 6 million USD, which is 15% more than last year.

On the whole, the export of wine, brandy, vodka, wine materials, draught brandy, brandy alcohol resulted in getting the amount of 126 million USD. According to the recent statistics of 9 months, this index equaled to 99,7 million USD- the growth was 26, 5%.
