On April 25, Telavi Airport “Mimino” will be officially opened and will be given the name of the King Erekle the II a talented military leader of the Kartli-Kakheti.
Opening ceremony will be led by Kakheti Regional Governor- Irakli Shiolashvili and the head of the Georgian Aviation University professor Sergo Tepnadze.
Withing the framework of the event, there will be held demonstrative flights of the aircrafts such as Piper Seneca, Cessna 152 and A-22.
In addition, Piper Seneca-‘s 6-seater aircraft will execute charter flights throughout Georgian territory or if it is necessary abroad as well.
It is also possible the tourists to be offered with air tours around Georgia.
At present, in Telavi Airport 40 people are employed. Including 16 local residents. It is expected that the number of employees will increase in the near future.
