Tamar Alavidze was appointed acting director of Anaklia Deep Sea Port Development Agency.
The agency was created by a resolution issued in March 2017. Its purpose is to monitor an investment agreement on construction, operation and conveyance (BOT) of Anaklia drainage port signed on October 3, 2016 between the coordination of the Anaklia Drainage Port Development Project, the Government of Georgia and the Anaklia Development Consortium.
Initially, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of the State control of the Agency’s activities was to be implemented, but later it was transferred to the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure.
The Anaklia Deep water Port Development Agency is a subsidiary of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the director of which is appointed by the Minister.
