State vocational colleges are successfully implementing the German model of dual vocational education in different directions, which ultimately implies the involvement of the private sector in the vocational education process.
The vocational colleges are having an active cooperation with private companies in terms of providing necessary internships for the students, and also supporting the further student employment in the industry.
College “Spektri” has been successfully cooperating with the private company – “Elita Burji” for three years now. The company’s is mainly focused on construction and manufacturing materials for the construction industry. Additionally, the company is equipped with modern equipment, and is one of the largest companies not only in Georgia but in the region of Caucasus.
College “Spektri” students are undergoing a series of internships at the company, which results in their further successful employment at “Elita Burji” and in other well-known companies as well.
This year, college “Spektri” and “Elita Burji” are launching a joint pilot program for the electricians. Future electricians will undergo a full industry training at the company base and will get employed in the best companies on the market.
