Tbilisi City Hall will receive additional 60 million GEL from the state budget in 2018. The budget parameters were discussed by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze and Minister of Finance Mamuka Bakhtadze at the Ministry of Finance.
“Today we met with Tbilisi Mayor. The City Hall plans to implement many important projects in 2018. Led by the Prime Minister, Government of Georgia has explored the mentioned projects and taken decision to allocate additional 60 million GEL for implementing the mentioned projects.
Ministry of Finance is capable of making additional transfers and today we agreed technical details. The funds will be spent purposefully and a bulk of these sums will be spent on improvement of Tbilisi subway infrastructure. The transfer will also finance the rehabilitation of the historical part of Tbilisi”, Minister of Finance Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
“I would like to use this opportunity and express my gratitude to the Prime Minister, central Authorities, Ministry of Finance for cooperation, because the municipal budget will increase by about 60 million GEL for implementing the 2018 projects. This is an important contribution to the city development and these funds will be directed to specific projects, including the rehabilitation of subway and historical part of Tbilisi. The year of 2018 will be different for the capital city, because we will launch implementation of the projects announced in the pre-election period”, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze noted.
The 2018 state budget final edition will be agreed in several days and the document will reflect all corresponding changes. After this, the document will be sent to Parliament of Georgia.
