State-owned gas pipelines have been handed over to SOCAR Georgia Gas by a direct sales.
Under the Government decision, SOCAR Georgia Gas must pay 21.3 million GEL for the gas pipelines, including 8.5 million GEL must be paid within 36 months and the remaining part must be paid in 48 months.
The gas pipelines are located in Kaspi, Zugdidi, Akhmeta, Gardabani, Zestaponi, Ozurgeti and Oni municipalities and total length of these gas pipelines makes up several tens of kilometers.
SOCAR Energy Georgia director Mahir Mamedov told Azerbaijani journalists that the company plans to carry out management of these gas pipelines.
“Not only SOCAR, but Georgian government also builds gas pipelines. IN the future, we will operate these gas pipelines. At this stage, we have bought 40 million GEL gas pipelines”, Mamedov said.
