To improve efficiency of country’s energy system, feasibility of installing smart networks including “Smart Meters” for both retail and wholesale consumers is planned. According to strategy of Ministry of Energy research will reveal their spread of reasonable terms and conditions.
This also responds to EU № 2009/72/EC directive which is about arranging electricity market, according to which consumer protection is one of the components of installing “Smart Meters” . As it enables consumers to actively take part in the functioning of supply market.
Today, existed meters are not able to deferentially measure consumed energy, however installment of smart meters requires solid expenses on which specific works are being implemented.
