Sheikh Nahyan: Batumi will Become Tourism Center for Region’s Population

First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia Dimitri Kumsishvili and Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Sheikh of United Arab Emirates (UAE), and his accompanying persons  visited the former military range territory in Gonio, where major investment projects will be implemented.

Today we updated Sheikh Nahyan on the existing investment potential in the Ajara  region, including visited the former military range in Gonio that has huge investment potential of about 3 billion USD, by roughly calculations. Naturally, we want to ensure the best development here.

We have visited the territory jointly with the Ajara Government, held presentation of this territory again and we are sure we will have specific results in a short period”, Dimitri Kumsishvili said.

The territory covers 314 hectare space. The government actively works with potential investors to develop the mentioned territory under the best concept to boost the tourism potential and economy of the country and create additional job places, Dimitri Kumsishvili said.

“We have seen a very beautiful territory that may be used for real estate business and many other purposes,  including recreation, commerce, finance, sports, including golf courts and various centers.

I had visited Batumi previously and now I see that this city has grown and developed more. Many beautiful hotels have been added to the city and we see many people at the seaside. The Batumi development level has much impressed us. This city is becoming the tourism center for the region’s population”, Mubarak Al Nahyan noted.

Georgia has become a tourism hub for tourism and business. There is friendly environment here thanks to loyal legislative regulations and this factor promotes people to arrive here and make investments. The country has made much progress in terms of development of tourism, educational, healthcare, security and safety issues. Therefore, Georgia is very attractive for investors and visitors and tourists.
