Managers of travel agencies in Omsk (Russia) don’t consider the closure of Egypt and Turkey a big problem.
One can rest in Batumi as in a small Abu Dhabi, and in Baku – as in Dubai. This issue was discussed at a meeting of journalists, managers of tourism companies and specialists of Rospotrebnadzor at RIA OmskInform in the Omsk region.
According to Larisa Sevastianova, Eurasia-Tour representative, the tourist industry in Russia goes back to 1999″, Sevastyanova says.
Director of the travel company Compass-M Yuri Lokhmankin confirmed his colleague’s words. He noted that “if Batumi is a small Abu Dhabi, Baku is Dubai.”
Speaking about the expected reorientation of Russian tourists to the domestic market, Director General of Rosskurort Tulegen Bekmagambetov notes that not the product itself is important but the market.
“Russia has been a valuable market for Turkey. Replacement of the product ( Turkey) is real. But in the next few years we will feel lowering of the profitability because it will take time to rebuild the same structure as in Turkey (charters, etc.),” says the representative of Rosskurort.
