Revenues From Wine Export is Increased by 16%

National Wine Agency announced about wine export growth.

Wine of 15 053 106 bottles (0,75 l) is exported in 34 countries from Georgia in January-May, which exceeds by 44% comparing to the same period of the previous year. However, revenues gained from wine export has made up 35,04 million USD, which is more by 16% if compared to the same period of the previous year.

Top-5 of exporting countries are as follows: Russia – 7 560 974 bottles; Ukraine -1 853 663 bottles; Kazakhstan – 1 620 046 bottles; China – 1 242 523 bottles; Poland – 835 792 bottles.

It should be noted, that export increase is noted with the EU countries, as well as China and other traditional markets: China – 106% (1 242 523), Ukraine – 73% (1 853 663), Russia – 59% (7 560 974), Belarus – 77% (262 838), Lithuania – 46% (244 368), Poland – 30% (835 792), Estonia – 17% (236 496), Kyrgyzstan – 171% (107 646), Germany – 31% (141 328), Canada – 25% (77 100), the UK – 79% (52 126) and others.
