Remittances Fell 18% in November

According to the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), in November 2015 the volume of money transfers into the country amounted to $  85.2 million or GEL 204.6 million, which is 18.3 percent ($ 19.1 million) less than in November 2014.

The volume of money  transfers  from 13 largest donor countries ( 91.7 percent of total money transfers from abroad) exceeded $  1 million. These 13 counties accounted for  92.2 percent of total money transfers in November last year.

In November 2015 the sum of money transferred abroad from Georgia reached  $ 14.7 million (GEL 35.4 million) instead of   $ 15.7 million (GEL 28.0 million) in November of last year.
