Quantity of Flights Grows at Georgian Airports

According to Civil Aviation Agency, in January-June 2018, as compared to the same period of 2017, number of flights at Georgian airports rose by 1 952 ones.

The reporting period recorded 10 720 passenger and cargo flights, including 9 304 regular flights and 1 416 charter flights.

According to the Agency, in the summer navigation peak period, about 540-550 flights are performed at Georgian airports every week. In the 2017 summer season, in the peak period, about 470 flights were performed at Georgian airport a week.

The Georgian air space employment has increased by 10.93%. A total of 65 992 flights were recorded in Georgian air pace in 2017, while the figure constituted 73 207 units in January-June 2018.
