The ministry of health is launching a Primary Healthcare reform project. The first stage of the reform consists in renovating and equipping clinics, training family doctors and increasing their incomes.
“Properly working Primary healthcare is important. There are plenty of infections that are managed by Primary healthcare and that need using quite large quantity of antibiotics. Generally, used antibiotics come for those antibiotics that were used in Primary healthcare drugs. It is vital to review microbe sensitivity, resistance and issues of managing with modern protocols,” Tamar Davitashvili said.
Doctors need to receive new information, with the newest guidelines. In this case we will be able to exclude irrational usage of drugs.
It is worth mentioning that The Ministry of Health is supported by international consulting company Global Alliance.
