“We have made a decision to apply to the Constitutional Commission in order to make a note in the Constitution. According to it, alienation of agricultural land will not be achievable for citizens, who do not have Georgian citizenship,” the PM said at a government meeting on Thursday.
According to him, a citizen of Georgia, unity of Georgia citizens, the state and self-governing units will have the right to own agricultural land as a special resource.
“I think this admission directly echoes the requirement of our citizens’ largest majority and we think that it will be a decision which the governing team must take”, Kvirikashvili said. The Prime Minister says that the consultations on the issue have been already held with the ruling team.
