A new textile plant will open in Poti in a month. The new plant will employ 3000 persons. At this stage, the company is training staff and after that the plant will launch operation, Adjara Textile director Gia Lominadze said.
Initially, the plant was to open 6 months ago, but the process was protracted because of various reasons, including bureaucracy problems, Gia Lominadze said.
The Poti-based plant will manufacture Nike, Puma, Lotto and New Balance brand products and employ 3000 persons.
Total investment value of the project is 15mln USD.
Adjara Textile already owns two clothing factories in Batumi and Kobuleti and employs 2500 persons.
