The passenger turnover has increased at King Tamar International Airport in Mestia.
According to the civil aviation agency, in January-June 2016 the airport handled 1494 passengers, 1 392 ones in the same period of 2015.
Consequently, the year on year growth marked 7.33%. According to the statistics, passenger turnover in the first half of 2016 increased by 605% as compared to the same period of 2014.
The civil aviation agency statistics shows that in January to June 2014 King Tamar International Airport served only 212 passengers. As reported, in the first half of 2016 Georgian airports handled 21.33% more passengers. Namely, this year Georgian Airport handled 1 082 828 passengers, up 21.35% compared to the same period of 2015 (892 468 passengers).
