Partnership Fund has worked out a concept for development of Georgia’s Racha Region
The Partnership Fund jointly with the consulting company “BDO” has finished a research of Racha’s tourism opportunities and has worked out a tentative concept for its future development.
David Saganelidze, executive director of the Partnership Fund, said at a working meeting that reviving the private sector’s interest in Racha is a complicated process, so the state must play a crucial role in this regard.
The Racha concept is aimed at developing tourist infrastructure in the region, which includes the development of several modern, world-class resorts on Lake Shaori, Utsera and Shovi villages.
3 and 4-star international brand hotels and a medical complex will be built in the region, as Racha is rich in healing mineral springs.
The approximate investment cost of the Racha Project is $59 million dollars.
