Aerial Gas Pipeline Crossing on Kuroskhevi River in Stepantsminda is Built

Minister of Energy of Georgia, Ilia Eloshvili and the General Director of oil & gas corporation, Davit Tvalabeishvili opened new air crossing on the main gas pipeline in the North Caucasus – Transcaucasia.

DN 1200 mm gas pipeline was constructed by the Georgian tender winner company – “ElitaBurji” LLC.

The above section of “North Caucasus-Transcaucasia” DN 1200 mm main gas pipeline was passing underground in the riverbed and posed threat to safe operation of the pipeline considering the complex hydrological and geological conditions related to this river. Putting the new crossing into operation will increase the pipeline safety and the gas supply system will be protected from natural disasters.

The cost of construction is 1 421 574 GEL (excluding the cost of pipes and other main construction materials
