Negotiations on Signing a Free Trade Agreement with China to Begin in mid-November

Negotiations on signing a free trade agreement (FTA) with China will begin in mid-November, – Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitri Kumsishvili states.

In  the Minister’s words, the free trade agreement with European Union entered into force on 1 September 2014.

“In early September, when the Prime Minister visited China, the two PMs agreed that our countries would  begin negotiations for a free trade agreement in mid-November,”  said Kumsishvili.

China’s Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia will be involved in the  process, – Kumsishvili notes.
