Modern Standard Landfills Construction in Ajara to Launch in Spring

The construction of modern equipped landfills will start in spring in Ajara. The landfills project will be implemented in the Kobuleti District, in the village of Tsetskhlauri. According to the Minister of Finances and Economy in Ajara, Nodar Kontselidze, documentation for tender has already been prepared, which should be confirmed by EBRD.

Nodar Kontselidze says that tender will be announed in the beginning of February which will require 2-2.5 months. The representative of Ajara Ministry of Economy thinks that the construction works will start in May and continue for 18 months.

There is 11 hectares of land for landfills construction.

The project cost amounts to 7 million euro, which is covered by EBRD and SIDA.
