Ministry of Finance Considered Cooperation Issues With OECD

Dimitri Kumsishvili, the First Vice-Premier and Ministry of Finance met with Bill Thompson, head of Eurasian Region of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), who pays a business trip to Georgia.

The sides discussed a broad spectrum of Georgia and OECD partnership at the meeting. Special attention was paid to projects implemented by OECD in cooperation with Georgia, including taxes direction, as well as future cooperation directions.

Kumsishvili introduced the current economic situation in Georgia and planned reforms. He made a focus on 4-point plan of reform by the Government of Georgia, which aims acceleration of economic growth and provision of the population welfare.

Georgia’s significant progress has been highlighted at the meeting and a leader’s potion in the region in terms of tax and anti-corruption direction.
