Land Law should not Frustrate Making Investments in Agriculture Sector

“It is important that land law should not frustrate making investments in agriculture sector”, Michael Cowgill, president of American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia, told Business Course.

The business sector is waiting for the basic law over the mentioned issue, where all details will be described, he said.

“We are waiting for the land law. Our objective is to draw as many investors to the country as possible. The most important thing is what the basic law will promulgate. We have not seen it yet. It is important that the land law should not thwart an inflow of investments to the agriculture sector”, Michael Cowgill said.

He also commented on judiciary system reformation and noted that creating specialized chambers for commercial disputes will not protract process any more. Business disputes should be redirected to commercial chambers, he added.
