Kvirikashvili: Georgia Will Become a four-season Tourist Destination

Georgia will become a four-season tourist destination, – Georgian Prime Minister declared while summarizing 2016.

George Kvirikashvili regards, that space reform will provide preparation of urbanization plan and chaotic urbanization will not take place. He announced construction of new airport and noted that Ambrolauri Airport will be opened in these days.

“We are giving new meaning to traditional resorts – Bakuriani, Gudauri – new rope ways, new roads, new water supply systems, attractions, which creates lot of jobs in those resorts and gives employment opportunities in a very large radius. This is new revenue in the country and the promotion of the country, which is important, not only to attract tourists, but also for Georgian products to be sold on foreign markets.

We are developing new resorts and it is very important – this is Tetnuldi and Goderdzi resorts, as well as other ones. We are implementing these projects along the private sector and we think that it should be very important for forming new truism image of Georgia”, – the PM announced.

He talked about the highway and noted, that by-pass road of Agara-Zemo Osiauri and Zestaponi-Kutaisi, as well as Kobuleti will be finished in 2017. Works will be launched on the following section by the next year: Zemo Osiauri –Chumatlelti, Samtredia-Grigoleti, Batumi by-pass road, Khulo-Zarzma, Bagdati-Abastumani, Zemo Imereti-Racha, Tusheti and Khevsureti roads; Devdoraki Tunnel.
