Kuwait Fund to Grant Georgia with 70 Million Gel

Kuwait Fund will grant Georgia with 8 million KWD financial resource,which equals to 70 million Gel.

This grant will be used to reconstruct Batumi-Akhaltsikhe 29km two-lane road on Khulo-Goderdzi part. The project includes construction of 4 bridges, water pipes and arranging traffic signs.

According to Minister of Finance, Dimitri Kumsishvili, restoring of Khulo-Goderdzi road is a part of his infrastructure plan, which includes restoring the road leading to Goderdzi.

Restoring the road will make it easier for visitors to reach Goderdzi Winter Resort. Besides, it will stimulate business sector to invest more for money for the development of Goderdzi mountain resort, build hotels and create new jobs which will be a very important improvement for the region.
