According to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development’s LTD ”Georgian Airports Association”, as for the data of July 2018, the passenger traffic in Kutaisi Davit Aghmashenebeli Airport has increased by 52% compared with the same period last year.
In July, Kutaisi Airport served a record number of passengers – 75,372 passengers (49,729 passengers in July 2017).
As for number of flights, the increase is identified in this direction too. In July 2018, 252 flights were completed in Kutaisi International Airport, which is 34% more than the same period last year (188 flights, July 2017).
According to 7 months data of 2018, Kutaisi International Airport served 310,115 passengers, which is 33% more than the same period of the previous year (7 months 2017 – 233,261 passengers).
Ketevan Aleksidze, director of “Georgian Airports Association” says that expectations of passenger growth in the coming months are also positive.
