Kobi Might Become Part of Mountain Resort Area

Canadian company “Ecosign” represented development project of Gudauri.

The plan envisages concept of four-season resort. According to it, winter and summer facilities will be projected in line of the seasons and optimal location should be determined. As of the plan, the ski tracks will be tripled in the length and bed number should be increased up to 16 000.

According to Ministry of Economy, the master plan will reveal the direction of further development and includes such important components of the developments such as the ropeway disposal and construction, preparation of skiing tracks, determination of the effective amount of equipment, artificial snowing system, parking lot, effective layout of entertainment and catering facilities, recreational facilities and activities in the optimal positioning of a ski, drainage system and others.

However, resort expand to the North (Kobi) zone is planned. New concepts for development will be worked out, which will support creation of new resort zone with equal infrastructure.
