KFW to Allocate New Grant for Georgia

The German Bank for Reconstruction Credit (Kfw) will allocate 1 650,000 euros to Georgia, according to the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.

According to the Ministry, this amount will be spent on Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Imereti regions in preparation of tourism and utility infrastructure improvement project.

The agreement was signed by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the United Water Supply Company of Georgia and the German Reconstruction Credit Bank.

The concept of communal infrastructure rehabilitation will be prepared within the grant, review of the current situation for urban development, assessment of social and environmental impacts of planned investment measures.
Investment project, fundamental rehabilitation of water supply and sewerage network in Imereti (Samtredia, Baghdati, Vani) and Kazbegi municipality is provided for rehabilitation of tourism, urban and other utility infrastructure.
