According to Jean-Elie Malkin, Consulting group, Global Alliance will support Georgia in implementation of primary healthcare program.
This announcement was made on the conference, held on behalf of Hepatitis C elimination program. Jean-Elie Malkin, talked about the importance of this event, and said it emphasized the elimination of Hepatitis C as one of the priorities for the government, because this epidemic reveals to be a huge public problem in a country
Dr. Malkin assessed Hepatitis C elimination program as a key priority, to improve whole health system in Georgian, for the benefit of population.
Jean-Elie Malkin also stressed the fact that after elimination of Global Alliance Hepatitis C, the next step will be Primary Health Care reform and expressed his support to the government on this program.
“I would like to emphasize that after Hepatitis C, the primary health care reform will be the next priority for the government and us. Global Alliance will fully support the government in this process.”
Georgia has announced a new major reform to modernise the country’s health system. On conference Health Minister David Sergeenko said his Ministry now focused on developing better primary healthcare for the people of Georgia.
