In January-June Georgia’s Exports Declined by 12%, Imports Grew by 30%

In January-June 2016 Georgia’s foreign trade turnover made up 5705 million USD (without unorganized trade), up 20% as compared to the same period of 2015.

According to preliminary estimations by Geostat, the national statistics service of Georgia, exports made up 948 million USD, down 12%, while imports marked 4757 million USD, up 30%.

Negative trade balance made up 3809 million USD in January to June and foreign trade turnover totaled 67%.
