IPM: Demand on European Destinations Increased by 30-40%

As long as Georgia gained visa liberalization travel has become more available, consulting company IPM has got interested in the activation of aviation and what their media communication is.

“Against the background of visa free regime, the representative of airlines and tour operators state that the number of Georgian citizens eager to travel to Europe is increasing. They think that the number will further grow in future”, – IPM declares and for more illustration they name the example of representatives of tour company Captain+.

The company declares that the demand on European destinations increased by 30-40%. The biggest demand is identified regarding Cyprus were flights are conducted from Kutaisi Airport.

“In general, introduction of Wizz Air and alternative of “low-cost flights” brought a very effective outcome”, – the research notes.

In May out of 34 airlines operating in Georgia, 16 had media coverage. According to Georgian media 6 new airlines will be introduced in summer: “Gulf Air”, “Air Arabia Jordan”, “RedWings”, “Nordavia Airlines”, “Severstal”, “Nordstar”.
