In May producer price index for industrial products rose by 9.4% year on year, while the index has not changed month on month. In May 2017 prices rose by 0.6% for processing industry products, which was reflected by 0.51% in total indicator of the index.
According to Geostat, national statistics service of Georgia, prices rose on main metals and finished metal products (1.9%) and electric and optical devices (30.9%).
Electricity, gas, steam and hot water: prices declined by 3%, which has made -0.42% effect in the index change. In the 12-month period, change in prices on the following products affected the index formation:
processing industry products: prices rose by 9.1% with 7.54% effect in the index change. Prices rose on metal and finished metal products (30.9%) and food products, drinks and tobacco products (8.5%);
Electricity, gas, steam and hot water: prices rose by 7.8% with 1.09% change in total index change; Mining industry products: prices rose by 22.2%.
