Industrial Products Manufacturing Price Grows

In June 2017 the index of changes in industrial products manufacturing prices made up 0.5% month on moth and 12.3% year on year.

According to Geostat, national statistics service of Georgia, in June 2017, as compared to the previous month, index upturn was preconditioned by a 0.6% growth in industrial product prices, that generated a 0.49% change in total index.

Upturn in prices on finished metal products constituted 1.8%, as well as prices on food products, drinks and tobacco products rose by 1.1%.

At the same time, prices declined on chemical substances, chemical products (-3%). In 12-month period, price changes on the following products made influence on shaping the index:

Processing industry products: prices rose by 12.7% and its contribution to index change made up 10.49%.

Prices of basic metals and finished metal works rose by 39.9%. Prices on food products, drinks and tobacco products increased by 11.3%; electricity, air, steam and hot water: prices rose by 8.1% and its ratio in total index change made up 1.15%.

Mining industry: prices rose by 16.7%, which constituted 0.63% in total index growth.
