Tao Zhang, deputy managing director for International Monetary Fund (IMF), asserts that there is much difference between workforce skills and the labor market demands in Georgia.
New technologies and new business models are developed on global markets. Therefore, there is much demand for new working skills, he said.
“Schools should be able to bring up workforce that will comply with any labor market worldwide. Workforce skills create problems for Georgian companies too. We should continue education sector reformation to make it compatible with the labor market requirements. I mean both secondary and higher education”, Tao Zhang said.
