Imeri Clothing Factory to Employ 200 Citizens in Addition

On April 4 Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili visited a new facility of Imeri clothing factory in Kutaisi, Imereti Region.

The new enterprise  will employ about 200 citizens. The company with the history of 1990s, expanded production thanks to a 315 000 EUR financial component attracted as part of Produce in Georgia state program.

The clothing factory, which employs 500 people, focuses mainly on clothing production. Giorgi Kvirikashvili spoke of the importance of promoting local production and professional schools, emphasizing that learning demanded professions is one of the preconditions of employment.

The Prime Minister also visited an Imeri store, one of the three operating in Georgia, including one in Tbilisi, which offers clothing made in the factory. The factory uses raw materials supplied by foreign clients and cooperates with German Lebek, Italian Egeria Limited, and Georgian designers.
