ICAO has Raised Georgia Red Flag Status

International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has raised Georgia Red Flag Status.

According to Economy Minister, the fact was preceded by successfully fulfilled international commitments by Georgia. According to Dimitri Kumsishvili, as of the revealed results by the audit, global index of Georgia has exceeded 60%, set by the global safety plan of ICAO (as of preliminary data, 64,44% has been fixed), which is the first precedent for our country.

“I want to thank the management of  Civil Aviation and each employee, who has worked hard and today, Georgia does not have “Red Flag” status. Respectively, it means that registration of new air companies will become more attractive in our country. This is a guarantee, that the registered air companies are entirely checked, including the safety, composition and all those procedures, on which the air company has to work”, – Dimitri Kumsishvili has declared.
