Head of Government: A New Phase of Reforms will Begin in Georgia

The country plans to start a new phase of reforms – Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili said at a press conference.

“We planned radical reforms in the most important areas. In particular, we intend to reform the Ministry of the Interior, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance. These reforms we lead to system changes, which is extremely important for the country and its strengthening, “- said Garibashvili.

According to him, institutional changes  are planned  in the implementation of which members of parliament and representatives of government and non-government sector will be involved.

With regard to the Ministry of Internal Affairs,  the separation of the Security Service  from the Interior Ministry is planned.

The Prime Minister also said that the Chief Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia had completed the review of all claims against members of the previous government.
