Georgian Water and Power has completed construction of a new 25 megawatt capacity substation in Saguramo village of Mtskheta municipality. The company has invested more than 5 million GEL for modern substation and high quality construction.

The process of development continues: Today we completed construction of the new 25 megawatt capacity substation Saguramo. The modern standard supplemental substation will improve the continuous supply of electricity and water, which will be another guarantee of stable water supply in Tbilisi, “said George Tskhadadze, General Director of Georgian Water and Power.
“It is very important to build high-tech energy facilities in the country, as it is directly about the development of the sector, as well as attracting investments and creating new jobs. As you know, there are big challenges in the energy sector, increasing consumption, many objects are built and I would like to note that every such project will always be supported by the Ministry of Economy, “said the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Romeo Mikautadze at the opening of a new sub-station.
The new substation was built meeting modern technologies and standards. Substation is equipped with the world leader company Siemens. It is noteworthy that construction and installation works were carried out by Georgian company “Energoservice”. In order to implement the project, Georgian Water and Power has created more than 40 new jobs.
