Greenhouse Complex in Marneuli to Promote Agriculture

The minister of Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili and ambassador of People Republic of China, Ji Yanchi visited greenhouse complex in the village of Shulaveri, in Marneuli Municipality. The greenhouse which is equipped with new technologies was built by Hunan Agriculture Group on the territory of former scientific-research center. The project aims to increase the potential Greenhouse agriculture in Georgia.

“People’s Republic of China and Georgia has a very close cooperation. In the frame of our collaboration, in the region of Kvemo Kartli, a very important project has been implemented which will promote introducing modern technologies to local farmer and increase the competition which will help to enlarge the production and rise the income of farmers” – noted Levan Davitashvili.

The technical project, concerning vegetables production was assigned between Georgian and Chinese government on 15th of January, 2014 and 20 000 million yuan was granted for it. Hunan Province Group has been implementing projects successfully in the field of agriculture in terms of developing human resources and training of farmers. They organized 6 educational courses in China for 300 Georgian farmers.
