Government to Spend more than 15 billion GEL on Infrastructural Projects

“For the purpose of acceleration of economic growth and, in general, taking the state economy to a higher level, we plan to hasten the process of implementing infrastructural projects”, Minister of Economy and First Vice Prime Minister Dimitri Kumsishvili said.

“More than 8 billion GEL will be spent on road infrastructure rehabilitation to improve our transit potential and become an important component of Silk Road route. And these components will ensure multiplying revenues to the state economy”, Dimitri Kumsishvili noted.

According to the existing plan of reforms, roads of more than 800 kilometers will be built over four years and additional 50 000 job places will be created by activation of infrastructural projects, Dimitri Kumsishvili said.

More than 15 billion GEL will be spent on infrastructural projects in 2017-2021 years.
