Government to Allot 100 million USD Credit Line for Anaklia Seaport Project

Under the agreement between Government of Georgia and Anaklia Development Consortium, the Authorities are to construct an access road and railroad infrastructure leading to the seaport.

Besides infrastructure, the government will hand over a land plot to the Consortium for a period of 52 years and a seaport will be constructed on the mentioned territory. As to privately-owned land plots, the government must buy off them until summer 2017 so as the consortium start construction works. Moreover, Anaklia Development Consortium head told the Business Contract that the Government will allocate a credit line for this project.

“According to our information, the government will invest 100-120 million USD. Moreover, additional 100 million USD credit line has been allocated for necessary cases”, Levan Akhvlediani said.
