German-Dutch Company to Design Treetop Footpath Project in Kakheti Region

CityForester, a German-Dutch company, has won international tender to develop a design for treetop footpath in Kakheti Region.

According to Agency of Protected Areas, the German-Dutch company operates in the sector of architecture and urbanization in leading countries of Europe.

Treetop footpaths include towers, air paths, bridges, education and interpretation interactive portals. Similar footpaths exist in all leading national parks of the world. The footpath will host about 60 000-100 000 visitors a year. 

According to the tender conditions, the winner company must finish the designing works in 2018.
Besides CityForester, two other foreign companies will be involved in the designing works – OpenFabric and Imagine Structure.

The designing works are being carried out with the financial support of BMZ and KfW.
