According to preliminary information of National Statistics Service of Georgia, in August 2017, as compared to August 2016, Georgia’s exports rose by 23% (+43.9mln USD), while imports declined by 6% (-45mln USD).
In August 2016 exports rose compared to the 2015 August indicators (+46mln USD), but declined by 11.4mln USD compared to the 2014 August.
In August 2017 Georgia’s exports constituted 236.1mln USD, imports marked 699.7mln USD. Negative trade balance marked 463.6mln USD, down 89mln USD as compared to the 2016 negative balance.
In January-August exports rose by 28.5% (+373mln USD), while imports have increased by 7.5% (+345mln USD).
