Georgia’s Air Traffic Increased by 10%

In the airspace of Georgia in January-July, 86 356 instrumental flight was performed, with 7 955 flights (10.1%) the number is more than the same period in 2017.

The number of flights carried out during the reporting period is 60 415 flight (+3 031 flight, + 5.3%).

The number of departure-arrival is 25 941, which is more than 4 924 flights (23.4%) compared with the same period of 2017.

The flight distance in Georgian airspace during January-July is 23 930 405 km (+333 601 km and 1,4% more than the same period in 2017).

Georgian airspace is most frequently used for transit movement by TURKISH AIRLINES INC., AZERBAIJAN AIRLINES – AZAL, QATAR AIRWAYS, THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL LTD. The top customers in the fly-zone are still Georgian AIRWAYS, TURKISH AIRLINES INC, WIZZ AIR HUNGARY KFT.
