Georgian Stock Exchange to Sell Shares of Wind Power Stations

Georgian Stock Exchange will sell shares of wind power stations. Any citizen and investor will be able to participate in public offers and buy shares of Kartli wind power station, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.

“We have decided to make a public offer on Georgian Stock Exchange (GSE) and we have offered, for the first time, to buy a stake in this project. This is a form of privatization. I believe this decision will incentivize the stock exchange and our citizens will acquire the feeling of involvement in ongoing projects. Moreover, domestic investors will be also able to buy the project shares.

The project will be prepared for public offer on the domestic stock exchange and this is a very good precedent.

We have taken many serious steps in this direction. Green Energy should become one of the important priorities. We should develop hydro power potential. Wine and solar energy becomes cheaper and I believe we should make accent on these directions”, the Prime Minister said.
