Georgian State Electrosystem Participated in Bluberries Working Session in Munich

Georgian State Electrosystem participated in the consultation company Blueberries’s working session in Munich, Germany.

The session was dedicated to the establishment of electricity markets in Georgia – day-to-day issues of preparation of balance markets. In partnership with Bluberries experts, the Norwegian company Nord Pool Consulting Consultants and representatives of the company Siemens – the essential software supplier for the balance market were involved in the session.

The parties discussed the normative-legal framework for operational markets, market action concept, business model and organizational structure. The European and Georgian experts jointly evaluated the expected challenges of the reform and developed a specific oriented action program.

As a result of Munich’s work session, the decision was made to establish the project management committee, headed by George Chikovani, Head of Energy Development Fund of Georgia, Sulkhan Zumburidze, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Nordber Pool Consulting, Blueberries, and “Georgian State Electrosystem”.
