Georgian Railway to Spend 10.5 million GEL on Safety Measures

Georgian Railway company plans to spend 10.5 million GEL on safety measures. The corresponding contract will be signed with LEPL State Security Special Service without tender.

Under the agreement, State Security Special Service will safeguard facilities and material property of Georgian railway for a year, provide alarm system of ticket offices and ensure cash logistics
“namely, safety measures must be provided at bridges, tunnels, wagon parks, wagon and locomotive depots, electricity supply facilities, ticket offices, alarming services must be provided at certain facilities.

The company must safeguard special and ordinary transit and domestic cargos, passenger trains”, the agreement reads.
