Georgian Corridor Sees 300% Loss in Transit of Kazakh Dark Oil Products

Georgian corridor has seen a 300% contraction in transportatio of Kazakh dark oil products. Over the past 1 year, transportation of Kazakh mazut and vacuum gasoil declined 3.1 times.

In January-June 2018 total value of this cargo made up 232.4 thousand tons, down from 726.1 thousand tons in January-June 2017.

It is worth noting that the mentioned volue of dark oil prudts were readdressed to Russian seaport of Taman. Previosyy, part of dark oil proucts were transp[orted to Batui seaport. Today, vargo trasportation has considerably declined because of highe consolidated expendirues.

Dark oil products are transported by only railroad, not in pipelines.
