Georgia Wants to Attract Japan Investments

Georgia wants to attract Japan investments.

Georgian Economy Minister George Gakharia and Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan discussed trade-economic and investment opportunities between two countries.

Presentation has been made for Japan side on general economic condition, investment and infrastructural projects in Georgia. At that, they have discussed investment opportunities of Gonio and Tskaltubo resorts and promotion issues of Georgian export products in Japan.

George Gakharia thanked Japan side for the investment projects made by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Georgia.

It should be noted that many grant projects have been carried by the assistance of JICA, rehabilitation and development of country’s important economic sectors has been made.

Now, JICA implements big projects in terms of renewable energy and infrastructure development in Georgia. Namely, JICA has allocated grant of more than 4 million USD and loan of 45 million USD.
